I
have been working with children since 1985 when I moved to Camarillo.
I received a BA in Child Development from California State University
Northridge in 1998. I have had a Child Development permit as a lead teacher
since 2000, and I received my site supervisor permit in 2005. I've attended
many workshops and conferences over the many years, as well as taught
a few myself. I owned and ran my own business: a large family childcare
in my home, licensed for 12 children, where for 12 years I cared for children
from 3 months to 8 years old.
I
began working for Pleasant Valley Co-op in 1998, taking on Directorship
in 2000. In my nine years here, I have taught preschool, Pre-K and Most
recently the Toddler classes.

I've
been working with children for approximately 9 years now. In 1996, I received
my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Chemeketa Community
College in Salem, Oregon. Since that time, I have worked with children
as young as 6 weeks old up to grade school age. I spent over four years
as a preschool teacher and assistant director, and later served two and
a half years as the director of a preschool and day camp.
